Professional Excellence
Dr. Lagonigro graduated from Seton Hall University and earned a medical degree at the State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn. An internship in internal medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School followed. Ophthalmology residency was completed at New York Medical College, based at Westchester Medical Center, from 2007 to 2010. A retina fellowship at the Eye Specialty Group and the VitreoRetinal Foundation in Memphis completed the training.
Most retina problems do better the earlier I see them, so I would rather a patient come in on a hunch than wait it out. When I put a scan on the screen, I want someone to leave knowing exactly what we are protecting and why.
