Easton is one of Atlantic Retina Center's satellite offices, bringing fellowship-trained retina care to Talbot County and Maryland's Mid-Shore so patients on this side of the Chesapeake don't have to drive to Salisbury for specialist follow-up. Our vitreoretinal surgeons see patients here on a scheduled rotation rather than daily, so appointment days are set in advance. Yes. The same three vitreoretinal surgeons who practice at our Salisbury headquarters rotate through Easton. There is no separate satellite staff and no difference in the level of care. Your chart, your imaging history, and your treatment plan follow you between offices, so a patient who is seen in Easton in the spring and Salisbury in the fall is seen by the same practice with the same records.
Easton sees a high volume of diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration, the two conditions most often referred to us by Mid-Shore optometrists and ophthalmologists, along with retinal vein and artery occlusion, macular pucker, macular hole, and retinal tears and detachments.
